Garden planting time is still weeks away, but due to changes from our plant supplier, it’s time to place orders for the Outreach Committee plant sale to benefit RECLAIM. Faith has supported RECLAIM since it was founded thirteen years ago. RECLAIM is an organization that:
  •    provides counseling and other support services for queer & trans youth & young adults and their families
  •    trains practitioners so that there are more who are qualified to provide this life affirming care
  •    maintains community partnerships at the intersection of gender and racial justice.
Like many non-profits, the last few years have been challenging for RECLAIM. They have persevered and continue to appreciate the support of our church.

Please help continue to support RECLAIM by purchasing beautiful plants for your deck, patio and yard. Click on the link (https://form.jotform.com/230526256998165) to complete the electronic order form or print a paper form, and take or mail it to church. Orders are due by Sunday, April 16 for pick-up on Saturday, May 20 between 11 a.m. - 1 p.m.

Thank you from the Faith Outreach Committee and RECLAIM!

March is Minnesota Foodshare Month. We are doing our part to help collect donations for two local food shelves, Nourish 282 and Ralph Reader. In particular, we are focusing on collecting items that are hard for food shelves to get but are essential. Examples of this are: toilet paper, cleaning supplies, hygiene products, and of course canned goods are welcome too.

Food Shelf Month

Nourish 282 collects donations on the first Wednesday of the month from 4:00-5:30 in the parking lot of our church.

They distribute the food from 4:30-5:30 on second Thursday of the month. For more information check out their website Nourish282.com.

Nourish 282 Food Shelf Collection & Distribution

Faith UMC collects nonperishable food items all year long for the Northeast Emergency Depot (NEED) in Columbia Heights and the Ralph Reeder Food Shelf in New Brighton. The collection box is in the entry way by the parking lot.
