ABOUT OUR PROGRAMS FOR KIDS AND YOUTH
During the school year, kids start out with their grown-ups in the Worship Center
(the service starts at 10:30 am).
After a short Children's Time, kids head down to our lower level classrooms with a teacher and an assistant for a time of fun, fellowship, growing in faith, and learning to walk in the way of Jesus. Central to this is exploring how to live out Jesus’ Greatest Commandment: Love God, and love all people. Kids learn best through play, so that’s what we do! Our curriculum rotates to a new station each week as we venture into Bible stories and Christian themes. There’s something for everyone: Art, Cooking, Science, Drama, Missions, Spiritual Practices, and Games.

We are created by God with our many differences, and we don’t just “accept” those differences;
we celebrate them!
Children's Time is about 10 minutes into the worship service. Kids are invited to sit up front with Pastor Sarah for a time geared just for them.
Sometimes it's a reflection on what the grownups will hear in worship and sometimes it's about what we will be doing in Kids Connect.

Join us in the youth room at Faith for a low key hang out Wednesday evenings from 6-8 pm. This is a time for games, relaxation, homework, and general youth fun.
Students in grades 6-12 have opportunities to connect with peers and grow in their faith here at Faith United Methodist Church.
Our family lounge is a space across from the Worship Center that gives families a chance to step out from the worship service if the kids (or grownups) need a break. It has a television to view the service as well as rocking chairs to sit in and toys to play with. It is intended for children up to age four who are accompanied by an adult.

Worship Kits
In the kids’ corner of the Commons, you’ll find lots of new and exciting things! These items are now available for kids and others to build their own worship kits. Worship kit items (books, art supplies, dolls, puzzles, animals, stickers, and more) are tools and activities that help kids engage with the worship service in ways that resonate with them.
How does it work? Kids or others simply grab a bag, tray, or container from the kids’ corner, gather the items that interest them, and bring them into the worship center to enjoy during the service. After worship, all items are returned to the places they were found. Please see Pastor Sarah with any questions.
