"White Fragility" book is focus of Lenten studies

Faith UMC is offering three opportunities to take part in this year's Lenten study, which is focusing on the book White Fragility, by Robin DiAngelo.

One series of meetings will be on Sunday evenings from 4 to 5:30 p.m., led by Dena Aulizia and Peg Cooper. Another session will be on Wednesday evenings from 7 to 8:30 p.m., with Rev. Jeff Ozanne, and the third will be on Thursday afternoons from 1 to 2:30 p.m. with Pastor Nancy Ellis. The various sessions will begin on February 18 (Lent starts on Ash Wednesday, February 17), and they all will be conducted via Zoom.

The book, if you need a copy, is available at most bookstores and at Target. The study is an opportunity to understand racism from a white person's perspective. Registration is open now via the Sign-Up Genius website.
