Welcome, Rev. Jeff Ozanne

Faith United Methodist Church welcomes the Rev. Jeff Ozanne, who will become senior pastor at Faith UMC as of June 28. He will lead our online worship service on that Sunday.

Pastor Jeff was appointed to Faith UMC by Bishop Bruce Ough to succeed Rev. Diane Christianson. Pastor Diane is retiring after serving Faith UMC since 2015.

So that members of the congregation can get to know Pastor Jeff and Pastor Jeff can meet us, the Staff-Parish Relations Committee will schedule several Zoom meetings starting in early July. Look for information in the weekly all-church email on how to sign up for one of those meetings.

Pastor Jeff has been pastor at Willmar United Methodist Church since 2015, and before that, he was at Glenwood United Parish for four years. And prior to that, he had a dual appointment at Light of the Lakes UMC in Baxter and at the same time at Park UMC in Brainerd as associate pastor.

He's part of a family of clergy members. His mother is a pastor, his wife is a pastor and his sister is a pastor. He and his wife, Marianne, met at a conference for seminary students in Mississippi while she was going to school in Atlanta and he was in Chicago. They married in 2006 and now have two children, ages 7 and 5. His wife has been appointed to Faith United Methodist Church of West St. Paul.

Pastor Jeff grew up in Falcon Heights, and he's a graduate of Beloit College in Wisconsin and the Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary at Northwestern University in Illinois.

He  has been active in the community during his time in Willmar. He has been the president of the Rotary Club, he's been involved in the city's Interfaith Network and he's been on the board of Safe Avenues, a local domestic violence prevention nonprofit. He also is active in the Minnesota and General Conference. He has served on the General Conference Delegation since 2016, and he is on the Minnesota Conference board of pension and health benefits. He is also on the steering team for Minnesota Methodists.
