Faith to serve Simpson Shelter meal on November 12

Volunteers from Faith UMC will serve the meal on Sunday, November 12, at the Simpson Shelter for the homeless in south Minneapolis. Choose the way you want to be involved!

1. Meet in the church kitchen at 3 p.m. to help prepare the meal.

2. Leave the church by 6 p.m. to go to Simpson UMC to transport and serve the meal. Cleanup ends about 8:30 p.m.

3. Bake bars or cookies and have them at the church by 4 p.m. so they can be be part of the meal.

To participate, please call Amy and Pete Neuswanger at 651-635-0576 or sign up in the Commons.

The shelter also is in need of personal care items: stick deodorant, shampoo, toothbrushes, disposable razors, lotion, new socks, new boxers, hats, gloves, scarves, blankets and dinner plates. These items can be placed under the Outreach table in the Commons, and we will make sure they get delivered.
